Fun: Life is good at Gecko's! We've got good food, with specials after 6:00pm: Mondays, enjoy 20 cent wings; Tuesdays, three for two tapas and Wednesdays, half priced burgers. We've got good drinks, good tunes, good friends, good fun (Karaoke, every Tuesday night from 9:00–1:00 at Gecko's on Academy) and good games! Come on down for the Final Four! And don't forget to stop by Gecko's on your way to or from Isostopes games.
Games: With 11 TVs, Setanta Sports, NFL Sunday Ticket, ESPN, FOX Sports (Rocky Mountain), College Sports TV, and Major League Baseball, we can accommodate most sports requests. We like soccer, baseball, basketball, hockey, golf, football (American football, Aussie Rules football, Gaelic Football), hurling and rugby! Speaking of rugby, the owner of Gecko’s is "an old, broken down, semi-alive, has-been, former rugby player," who's been known to hoist a pint or two. So stop in, say "hi," and enjoy all your favorite games!
Music: Catch The Daddy Os every third Wednesday of the month and Chris Kill every first Wednesday at the Academy location.
Ambiance: Our subtle lighting, ecclectic music and friendly service, along with the pooch-friendly patio, all contribute to the relaxed atmosphere at Gecko's. Karen Deaton's humorous murals lend an air of festivity to any occasion. Gecko's in Nob Hill has several murals depicting anachronistic scenes of staff and patrons of "Gecko's of Yore," some embelllished with clever trompe l'oeil flourishes that deceive the eye. And Gecko's on Academy has a large beachscape mural featuring palm trees, a cute gecko couple holding hands, and, echoing the Gecko's (Academy) neon facade, the Art Deco architecture and vintage automobiles of 50's-60's Miami.
